20 MINUTE HAMBURGER SKILLET STEW RECIPE

20 Minute Hamburger Skillet Stew Ingredients
1/4 lb ground
beef 1/4 cup tomato juice 1 sliced onion 4 Carrots, sliced wafer thin
2 Tbs all purpose flour 2 sliced potatoes 3 stalks sliced celery 1 cup boiling water 2 tsp beef extract 2 bay leaves 1/4 tsp dried thyme salt and pepper
20 Minute Hamburger Skillet Stew Method
The first
thing you need to do is take the meat and roll into little
meatballs. Cook the meatballs in a frying pan until they are
light brown and cooked through. Drain the fat from the
frying pan and place it back on the heat. Then add the onion
to the pan and cook until just soft. Slowly add the boiling
water and beef extract to the onions and stir. Add the
carrots, potatoes, celery, bay leaves, dried thyme, salt and
pepper and stir well. Turn the heat down to low and simmer
the stew until vegetables are soft and tender. Mix the
tomato juice and the flour together in a bowl until there
are no lumps left. Add the paste to the frying pan. Stir the
20 minute hamburger skillet stew occassionally until the
sauce thickens. This stew is excellent served with a hot
bread roll or dumplings.
