APPLE BREAD CAKE RECIPE
Apple Bread Cake is a
wonderful cake to make for afternoon tea. The taste of
apples, raisins, pecans and spices are just some of the
ingredients that goes into this recipe for Apple Bread Cake
that makes the taste sensational. Serve it with some whipped
cream or spread it with butter or just eat it plain either
way it all taste great.

Bread Cake Ingredients
3 cups apples peeled and
chopped
1/2 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup melted shortening
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup seedless raisins

Bread Cake Method
In a
saucepan mix the apples, water and 1/2 cup of the brown
sugar and then cook for about 5 minutes or until the apples
are almost tender and then cool. In a large mixing bowl
combine the remaining dry ingredients and then add the apple
mixture, oil, eggs and the remainder of the brown sugar. Mix
these ingredients together until just moistened. Using a 10
inch tube pan bake the Apple Bread Cake for about 40 minutes
at 350 degrees. Do not remove the cake straight away let it
cool for 10 minutes first. This bread is nice served cold or
warm.
