BAKED PASTA RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Baked Pasta. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
Baked Pasta other wise known as Pasta Al Forno. This pasta
recipe has a great combination of cheeses with vegetables
and meat that really satisfy your taste buds.
Baked
Pasta Ingredients
2 lbs rigatoni
3 lb ricotta
1 onion chopped
1 carrot chopped
3 Tbs julienne basil
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tbs chopped parsley
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken stock
8 oz mixed mushrooms sliced
1/4 cup bacon very thinly sliced
2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese
2 cups grated provolone cheese
1 1/2 cups crumbled blue cheese
1 x 28 oz can Italian plum tomatoes drained and chopped

Minute Hamburger Skillet Stew Method
In a
large pot of boiling salted water cook the pasta until only
halfway cooked then drain and rinse under cold water to stop
cooking and then toss with a small amount of olive oil to
prevent sticking.
In a large skillet over medium heat
cook the bacon until
well browned and crisp
stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes and then
drain on a paper towel.
Add sausage to drippings in skillet and cook breaking up
large pieces until well browned. Transfer to paper towel.
Pour off all but 3 tablespoons drippings from the skillet
and then
add onion, carrot,
mushrooms, basil and parsley and cook until onion is tender
and mushrooms are golden brown and set aside. Preheat oven
to 400 degrees.
Spray a large baking pan well with cooking spray. Place
ricotta in a large bowl and gradually whisk in the cream and
then stir in the stock and then add pasta, bacon, sausage,
onion mixture, provolone, blue cheese, tomatoes and 1 cup
parmesan cheese. Season
with salt and pepper and stir well. Transfer to prepared
dish.
Sprinkle with remaining
parmesan. Cover the Baked Pasta and bake 35 minutes. Remove
cover and bake an additional 20 minutes or until very golden
brown and bubbly.
Serve with crusty bread rolls.
