BANANA BREAD RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Banana Bread. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
Banana Bread is a wonderful tasting cake. The taste of
banana, raisins and nuts is just sensational. This has
always been called a Banana Bread in our family but it is
just the same as a cake. It goes real good at night for a
bedtime snack with a cup of tea or a glass of milk.

Bread Ingredients
1 tsp salt
juice 2 lemons
2 cups raisins
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup wheat germ
6 very ripe bananas
2 cups favorite nuts
1/2 cup virgin olive oil
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 cups whole wheat flour

Bread Method
First
thing to do is preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Peel the
bananas and mash them in a bowl with lemon juice until
smooth. Then cream the oil and sugar together and add it to
the banana mix stirring well. Sift together the baking
powder, salt, flour and baking soda then mix in the wheat
germ and then add to the banana mixture and stir in the nuts
and raisins. The dough will get very stiff. Grease 2 4 x 8
inch loaf pans and divide the mixture evenly into them and
put it in the preheated oven and cook for 45 minutes. Test
for doneness by inserting knife in middle, if it comes out
clean the bread is done. The Banana Bread is good served
with butter on it or some whipped cream or you may prefer it
plain.
