BANANA PUDDING RECIPE

Banana Pudding Recipe, Desserts and Puddings Recipes

This recipe will teach you how to make Banana Pudding. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Banana Pudding is one of my favourite puddings as the flavour of the banana and custard topped with meringue is really sensational. It is a great pudding recipe if you want something easy to make but looks really special and extremely exceptional.

Banana Pudding Ingredients

1/4 tsp salt
3 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
6 bananas sliced
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 egg yolks beaten
vanilla wafers
3 1/2 Tbs all purpose flour
3 egg whites beaten until stiff

Banana Pudding Method

Take a large saucepan and add the flour, sugar and salt. Combine the egg yolks and milk and stir till well blended. Add this mixture to the flour mixture and blend it well. Cook this mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. Remove it from the heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla. In the bottom of a large casserole dish place a layer of vanilla wafers and then add a layer of sliced bananas and top with the cooked custard mixture. Take the egg whites and beat them gradually adding 1/4 cup sugar and keep beating until they go stiff then add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread the meringue over the top of the custard and bake the Banana Pudding at 425 degrees until golden.

Enjoy your freshly made Banana Pudding!
