BARBECUED MEAT PATTIES RECIPE
These Barbecued Meat Patties
are a wonderful appetizer to have at any party. I make them
small and put a toothpick in each one and have some sauce or
dip in bowl to serve them with. They are really tasty and
you will find that the Barbecued Meat Patties will be the
first things eaten. You can also make them bigger and have
them on buns at your barbecue to but I prefer them as an
appetizer.
Barbecued Meat Patties Ingredients
1 egg
1 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs half and half
1 Tbs cornstarch
1 Tbs tomato ketchup
2 Tbs finely chopped onion
1 1/4 pounds ground meat
BASTING:
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tbs worcestshire sauce
dash hot pepper sauce.
Barbecued Meat
Patties Method
The very
first thing we do is to make the basting. Combine the water,
ketchup, lemon juice, brown sugar, worcestshire sauce and
hot pepper together and blend well. Then in a large mixing
bowl combine the meat, egg, onion, green pepper, soy sauce
and ketchup. Mix the half and half and the cornstarch
together and add it to the meat mixture and blend really
well. Take small spoonfuls of the meat mixture and roll into
little meat patties and place on a preheated barbecue and
cook for 15 minutes basting with sauce and turning patties
over from time to time for even browning basting each time
until cooked through. Serve your Barbecued Meat Patties with
sauce or dip.
Enjoy your freshly made
Barbecued Meat Patties!
