BLACK BEAN SOUP RECIPE
Black Bean Soup has a
wonderful blend of beans, onions, celery, potatoes and
carrots mixed together with the rest of the ingredients
makes this Black Bean Soup an exceptional soup recipe. This
soup recipe makes a great hearty meal on its own and served
with a hot crusty bread roll just makes it even better. A
great soup to have on a cold winters night.
Black
Bean Soup Ingredients
2 tsp salt
1 bay leaf
6 cups water
1 carrot diced
1 tsp oregano
1 potato diced
1 Tbs canola oil
1 yellow onion diced
2 clove of garlic diced
1 l/2 cups black beans
1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
2 stalks of celery with leaves
Black
Bean Soup Method
You must
always first wash the beans and then soak the beans
overnight. The next morning simmer the beans until almost
done about 2 hours then add the potatoes and carrots to the
beans. In a frying pan saute the celery, garlic and onions
and add to the soup. Add spices and simmer for 1/2 hour.
Puree about l/2 the Black Bean Soup for a thick soup. Serve
with a hot crusty bread roll.
