BUTTERMILK PEACH ICE CREAM RECIPE
The taste of this Buttermilk
Peach Ice Cream is really tantalising. Buttermilk has a
slightly sour taste but added to the ingredients in this ice
cream recipe makes the taste exceptional. My husband drinks
buttermilk but I think it is terrible on its own thats why I
decided to try it in an ice cream recipe and it doesn't
taste sour at all.
Buttermilk Peach Ice Cream Ingredients
2 cups buttermilk
4 cups light cream
2 beaten egg yolks
1 Tbs vanilla extract
2 cups diced peaches
1 cup granulated sugar
1 envelope unflavoured gelatin
Buttermilk Peach Ice Cream Method
Combine
sugar and gelatin in a saucepan and then gradually stir in
buttermilk. Cook and stir over low heat till gelatin is
dissolved. Stir about 1 cup of the hot mixture into the
beaten egg yolks and return to hot mixture in saucepan and
then cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in salt, light cream
and vanilla. Chill and then add peaches. Freeze the
Buttermilk Peach Ice Cream in a 5 quart ice cream freezer.
