CANTONESE MEATBALLS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Cantonese Meatballs. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make.
You will absolutely love the flavour that the pineapple
gives to the Cantonese Meatballs. Serve the Cantonese
Meatballs over a bed of soft noodles. You will never have to
go out to buy an asian meal again.
Cantonese Meatballs Ingredients
1 Tbs catsup
1 Tbs vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 lb ground beef
2 Tbs cornstarch
3 Tbs packed brown sugar
2 Tbs instant minced onion
5 Tbs teriyaki sauce divided
20 oz pineapple chunks in syrup
Cantonese Meatballs Method
First
thing to do is to drain the pineapple and reserve the syrup.
In a bowl mix together pineapple syrup, brown sugar, 3
tablespoons teriyaki sauce, vinegar and catsup and set
aside. Mix beef with remaining 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
and onion. Shape into 20 meatballs then in a large skillet
brown the Cantonese Meatballs and drain off excess fat. Pour
syrup mixture over Cantonese Meatballs and simmer 10 minutes
stirring occasionally. In the water dissolve the cornstarch
then stir into the skillet with pineapple. Cook and stir
until sauce thickens and pineapple is heated through. Serve
the Cantonese Meatballs over noodles.
