CASHEW CHICKEN CASSEROLE RECIPE

Chicken Casserole Ingredients
1 1/3 cup milk
1 small onion chopped
3/4 cup cashew halves
1/2 cup chopped celery
2/3 cup crushed saltines
1/4 cup margarine melted
1 1/2 oz can chicken broth
3 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
8 oz can sliced water chestnuts drained
1/2 cup cubed process american cheese
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup undiluted
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup undiluted

Chicken Casserole Method
In a greased 13 x 9 inch
baking pan layer the macaroni, chicken, cheese, onion,
celery, green bell pepper and water chestnuts. In a bowl
combine the soups, milk and broth then pour over water
chestnuts. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Toss butter and
cracker crumbs then sprinkle over casserole and then top
with cashews. Bake the Cashew Chicken Casserole uncovered at
350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until macaroni is
tender.
