CHEESE STRAWS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Cheese Straws. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
Cheese Straws are a good appetizer to have at christmas
time. You can make the dough and freeze it till the day you
want to cook them. Cheese Straws are good served with a very
creamy cheese dip.
Cheese
Straws Ingredients
1 cup
flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter
2 1/2 Tbs cold water
1/2 tsp ginger powdered
4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup sesame seeds toasted

Straws Method
Place flour, ginger and salt
in food processor then cut butter into small cubes and add
to processor and blend until pastry resembles coarse meal.
Add finely shredded cheese and sesame seeds and process
until just blended. Add worcestershire to water and sprinkle
over flour mixture and process until dough is moistened and
holds together when pinched with fingers. Gather dough into
a ball on lightly floured board, and roll out to 1/8 inch
thick. Cut into strips 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inch wide.
Freeze unbaked dough on baking sheets. Do not thaw before
baking. Bake the Cheese Straws on ungreased sheet at 400
degrees until lightly browned and crisp.
