CHICKEN BREAST BAKED IN A BAG RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Chicken Breast Baked in a Bag. It
is a quick and easy recipe to make.
Chicken Breast Baked in a Bag is a wonderful chicken recipe
full of flavour. This is a real unusual way of cooking but
believe me it is a real taste sensation as all the flavour
is sealed in the bag as the chicken cooks. It sounds so
delicious when you think of chicken, porcini, mushrooms,
white wine, potatoes, thyme, garlic and the rest of the
ingredients all sealed in a bag to cook. Sometimes I just
cook the chicken without the vegetable in a bag and have it
with salad.
Chicken
Breast Baked in a Bag Ingredients
olive oil
3 Tbs butter
salt and pepper
1 handful fresh thyme
1 handful dried
porcini
2 skinless chicken breasts
1 large wineglass white wine
9 oz mixed mushrooms torn up
2 cloves garlic peeled and sliced
1 egg beaten with 2 tablespoons water
2 medium potatoes peeled, sliced and cooked

Breast Baked in a Bag Method
Preheat the oven to 425
degrees. Mix the mushrooms, wine, potatoes, butter, thyme,
garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper together in a bowl then
add the chicken. Using wide aluminium foil, make a bag by
folding about 3 foot piece in half. Brush all four edges
with egg wash and fold the foil in half again creating a
double thick bag with a closed end. Fold the side edges over
twice creating two sealed edges and leaving one side open.
Place mixture into the
aluminium foil bag, including all the liquid making sure you
don't pierce the foil. Close up the final edge making sure
the bag is tightly sealed and secure on all sides and
carefully slide it on to a roasting tray. Place the tray on
a high heat on the burners for 1 minute to get the heat
going, then bake in the middle of the preheated oven for 25
minutes Remove from the oven and place the Chicken Breast
Baked in a Bag onto a serving plate.
