CHOC FRUIT SLICE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Choc Fruit Slice. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. This is a favourite recipe of mine
as I love the taste of chocolate and fruit together plus the
nuts and coconut gives this slice recipe so much flavour
that it lingers in your mouth.

Fruit Slice Ingredients
125g butter
2 Tbs cocoa
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup mixed fruit
1/2 cup castor sugar
1 cup self raising flour
1/4 cup chopped pecan nuts
Chocolate Icing:
2 Tbs milk
2 Tbs coconut
1/4 cup cocoa
2 tsp melted butter
1 1/2 cups icing sugar

Fruit Slice Method
First thing grease a 19cm x
29cm lamington pan then line the base and sides with grease
paper well. In a saucepan melt the butter and stir in the
sifted flour and cocoa, sugar, coconut, fruit and pecans.
Press the mixture into prepared pan and bake in a moderate
oven for about 20 minutes. Spread the Choc Fruit Slice with
icing and sprinkle with coconut and let it cool in pan
before cutting.
Chocolate Icing: In a bowl Sift the icing sugar and
cocoa then stir in the butter and just enough of the milk to
make a stiff paste.
