CHOCOLATE SLICES RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Chocolate Slices. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. Anyone who likes chocolate would
really like these slices as they have a rich chocolate
flavour. The Chocolate Slices are one of my grandsons
favourite as they all like chocolate and the smell of them
cooking puts a wonderful smell through the house. My
neighbor even commented one day that she can always tell
when I am cooking as the aroma goes right out the windows to
her place.
Chocolate Slices Ingredients
3 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 lb butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups plain flour
4 oz sweet chocolate
4 oz chopped walnuts
Chocolate Slices Method
In a small saucepan add the
chocolate and butter and melt them. In a bowl add the eggs
and beat them well then gradually add the sugar and beat.
When the mixture is thick and creamy stir in the vanilla and
the chocolate mixture then add the sifted flour, salt and
lastly the chopped walnuts. Pour the mixture into a well
greased 9 inch square tin and smooth the mixture well into
the corners. Bake in a moderate 350 degrees oven for 40
minutes. Make sure not to over bake since the centre of this
mixrure should be fudge like and not hard. Cool completely
before cutting into Chocolate Slices.

BUTTERSCOTCH SLICES RECIPE
This recipe will teach you how to make Butterscotch Slices.
It is a quick and easy recipe to make.
These Butterscotch Slices are a wonderful tasting slice. My
husband really likes these slices so I make them especially
for him. My husband loves the flavour of the golden syrup,
brown sugar, sultanas and the walnuts mixed with the other
ingredients as they give these slices a wonderful taste that
keeps you coming back for more of the Butterscotch Slices.
Butterscotch Slices Ingredients
1 egg
pinch salt
4 oz
butter
1 cup sultanas
1 dsp
golden syrup
1/2 cup
chopped walnuts
1/2 cup
light brown sugar
1 1/2
cups self raising flour
chocolate icing for decoration
Butterscotch Slices Method
In a large bowl cream the
butter and sugar until light then add the egg and the golden
syrup and beat well. Stir in the flour, salt, sultanas and
walnuts and blend it thoroughly. Spread the mixture evenly
in a well greased 11 x 7 inch shallow tray and bake in a
moderate 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. When cold top
with chocolate icing and allow to set then cut the
Butterscotch Slices and serve.
