CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Chocolate Cake. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
This Chocolate Cake has a very rich tasting chocolate to it,
and it also is full of flavour. Anyone who has a liking to
chocolate would love this cake. Serve it at your next
afternoon tea with your friends and I'm sure they will
thoroughly enjoy it.
Chocolate Cake Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp baking powder
Frosting:
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 x 1 oz squares chocolate
Chocolate Cake Method
Beat the sugar, eggs and
butter together until creamy. Add the cocoa to 1 cup of
boiling water and mix well. Add cocoa mixture to sugar
mixture. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together.
Add to the sugar mixture alternating with the milk and
vanilla, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Pour
into well greased and floured pans and bake the Chocolate
Cake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Frosting:
Melt the chocolate in a pan and remove from heat. Mix in the
sugar and milk and bring to a full boil. Cook the chocolate
mixture until it reaches the soft ball stage,when a small
amount dropped into a glass of cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and stir in the
vanilla and butter. Spread on the cooled Chocolate Cake.
