COCONUT SLICES RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Coconut Slices. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make. I am sure if you make these Coconut
Slices your whole family will really enjoy them as nothing
tastes as good as coconut. These slices have a wonderful
flavour of coconut and chocolate mixed together. My whole
family really enjoy the Coconut Slices for afternoon tea and
my husband usually loves them as he likes having sweets with
his cup of tea at any time of the day.
Coconut
Slices Ingredients
1 cup coconut
1 cup crushed cornflakes
1 cup self raising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 dsp cocoa
4 oz butter
For the Icing:
1 cup icing sugar
1 Tbs cocoa
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 Tbs hot water

Slices Method
In a bowl combine the coconut,
cornflakes, flour, sugar and cocoa then melt the butter and
stir into the dry ingredients making sure to mix well. Press
into a well greased 11 x 7 inch shallow tray and bake in a
moderate 350 degrees oven for 25 minutes and then let it
cool in tray. To make the icing sift the icing sugar and
cocoa into a saucepan and add the vanilla and hot water then
stir until smooth and place briefly over medium heat. Spread
the icing mixture over the Coconut Slices and allow to set
then cut into slices and serve.

BANANA SLICES RECIPE
This recipe will teach you how to make Banana Slices. It is
a quick and easy recipe to make.
Now I have to tell you this is my favourite slice as I love
the flavours of banana, brown sugar, walnuts, chocolate
pieces mixed with the other ingredients gives these slices a
sensational taste. My mother used to make this slice for our
school lunches as it keeps well.
Banana Slices Ingredients
pinch salt
3 oz butter
1 egg slightly beaten
1 3/4 cups plain flour
3 oz chocolate pieces
1 ripe banana mashed
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 1/2 level tsp baking powder

Slices Method
In a bowl cream the butter
with the brown sugar until light and fluffy then add the egg
blending well then beat in the mashed banana. In another
bowl sift the flour with the baking powder and salt then
blend into the creamed mixture and add the vanilla, walnuts
and chocolate pieces and mix well. Spread the mixture into a
well greased 11 x 7 inch shallow tray and bake at 350
degrees for about 30 minutes. While still warm cut the
mixture into slices and allow the Banana Slices to cool in
the tray.
