DUTCH BUTTER BISCUITS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Date and Walnut Biscuits. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make.
This is a great butter biscuit recipe as it has grated
chocolate and chopped almonds in it. They are wonderful for
the childrens school lunches or for afternoon tea with your
family or friends.

Butter Biscuits Ingredients
1 egg yolk
8 oz butter
1 Tbs sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp mixed spice
2 1/2 cups plain flour
1 tsp grated chocolate
1 Tbs chopped almonds

Butter Biscuits Method
In a large bowl cream the
butter with 3/4 cup sugar then beat in egg yolk. Add flour
with the spice and add to the cream mixture then stir in
grated chocolate. Press into a well greased 11 inch x 7 inch
shallow tray to about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with a
mixture of chopped almonds and sugar. Bake the Dutch Butter
Biscuits in a moderate oven 350 degrees for 30 minutes then
cut into finger lengths while still hot and leave in tin to
cool.
