FISH AND CHIPS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Fish and Chips. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
This is a great meal to make on friday night after the
working week has ended and sit back and enjoy it in front of
the television. My husband loves friday nights when we relax
and have our Fish and Chips its one of his favourite meals.
Fish and
Chips Ingredients
For the
chips:
2 litres vegetable oil
2 lb potatoes peeled and cut into large chips
For the batter:
salt
1 cup beer
1 cup plain flour
4 fillets haddock or cod skin on
2 egg whites whipped to soft peaks
Fish and
Chips Method
Pour all the vegetable oil
into a deep pan or deep fat fryer and heat to 300 degrees.
Blanch the cut potatoes in the oil until soft but not
coloured about 4 minutes then remove and drain. Mix together
the flour and the beer and then fold in the egg whites. Turn
up the heat of the oil to 350 degrees. Dip the fish in the
batter and fry for a few minutes with the chips until golden
brown. Drain the Fish and Chips on kitchen paper and serve
with bread and butter.
