FOUR TREASURE SOUP RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Four Treasure Soup. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. This is an asian style recipe for
soup but you can have it for your whole meal as it is so
full of nourishment and it is quite a filling soup. We have
this soup on a weekend when I just want to have something
easy for dinner in front of the television. I usually serve
it with warm crusty rolls or crunchy noodles on top.

Treasure Soup Ingredients
1 tsp
flour
2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry
1 tsp garlic powder
4 cans chicken broth
1/4 lb ground chicken
1 tsp chinese hot mustard
1/2 cup julienned carrot strips
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 packet frozen chinese pea pods
8 oz can sliced water chestnuts drained

Treasure Soup Method
Mince half of the water
chestnuts and combine with the chicken, onions, soy sauce,
mustard and flour. Reserve remaining water chestnuts and
onions. In a large saucepan mix broth, sherry and garlic
powder and boil. Drop chicken mixture by teaspoonfuls into
broth. Add carrots and simmer 4 minutes until meatballs are
cooked. Add remaining water chestnuts, green onions and pea
pods. Heat the Four Treasure Soup through and serve
immediately.
