HAM AND CHICKEN ROLLS RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Ham And Chicken Rolls. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Ham And Chicken Rolls are a must when you are having an asian style recipes night. The flavours of the chicken, ham and spices make these rolls taste excellent. You can serve them with a dip if you like or just as they are either way they are a great appetizer with chinese food.

Ham And Chicken Rolls Ingredients

2 Tbs milk
1/2 tsp salt
4 slices ham
1 egg beaten
1/4 tsp pepper
3 cups vegetable oil
1/8 tsp garlic powder
4 spring roll wrappers
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp five spice powder
2 chicken breasts skinless, boneless

Ham And Chicken Rolls Method

Cut the chicken breasts in half and remove bones if necessary, pound breast till very thin using a mallet. Combine salt, pepper, five spice powder and garlic powder. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon evenly over each flattened chicken breast then tightly roll up each ham piece and place in the center of each chicken piece. Roll the chicken piece around the ham tucking in the ends of the chicken about it. Combine egg and milk in a shallow dish then coat each lightly with flour then dip into the egg and milk mixture.

Place each piece diagonally into a spring roll wrapper then roll it up securely folding the ends. Brush the end corner with egg mixture and pinch to seal. Heat oil in the wok over high heat until it reaches 375 degrees. Fry 3 to 4 rolls at a time in the hot oil until golden and the chicken is completely cooked about 5 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Cool slightly and cut into 1 inch slices and serve the Ham and Chicken Rolls on a bed of shredded lettuce.
