LAMB AND PRUNE CASSEROLE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Lamb and Prune Casserole. It is a

Lamb and Prune Casserole has an wonderful flavour of lamb,
prunes and beer together. My son in law really loves me to
cook this casserole recipe when they are coming over for
dinner as he believes its a real mans meal, but of course us
women like it to.
Lamb and
Prune Casserole Ingredients
2 Tbs oil
1/2 lb shallots
salt and pepper
1 1/4 cups beer
1 1/4 cups stock
1/2 lb carrots sliced
1 cup dried pitted prunes
2 lb shoulder of lamb cubed
1/4 cup cornstarch blended with a little water
Lamb and
Prune Casserole Method
The very
first thing you must do is soak the prunes in the beer for 1
1/2 hours. Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the shallots
for a few minutes. Add the meat and fry until browned on all
sides then add the stock, salt and pepper to taste, carrots,
prunes and beer. Bring to the boil and simmer over a low
heat for 30 minutes. Thicken the casserole with the blended
cornstarch then transfer to a casserole and cover and cook
the Lamb and Prune Casserole in a preheated moderate oven
for 1 1/4 hours.
