MOO GOO GAI PAN RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Moo Goo Gai Pan. Moo Goo Gai Pan is a wonderful easy recipe that the children can help you make and they will feel very proud of the outcome. The flavours of chicken, mushrooms, bok choy or chinese white cabbage, scallions and all the other ingredients that goes into making this a very tasty meal. In this recipe you can also use left over chicken.

Moo Goo Gai Pan Ingredients

2 Tbs sugar
2 cups water
5 Tbs corn oil
salt and pepper
1 Tbs cornstarch
4 Tbs soy sauce
6 scallions chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
4 lb bok choy chopped
8 oz fresh mushrooms sliced
4 chicken breast halves, skinned, boned and sliced

Moo Goo Gai Pan Method

In a bowl toss chicken with the salt and pepper, garlic and cornstarch mixed in 2 cups water then set aside. Heat 3 tablespoons of corn oil in a wok and stir in mushrooms, bok choy and sugar for 2 minutes. Cover and cook for 5 minutes then remove from wok. Heat remaining corn oil in wok. Stir fry chicken for 2 minutes over high heat then add soy sauce and mix well. Cover and cook for about 6 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked. Mix in the cooked vegetables and scallions. Stir fry together for about 1 minute. Serve the Moo Goo Gai Pan hot with rice.
