MUSHROOM AND LAMB PIE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Mushroom and Lamb Pie. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make. This pie is a wonderful
tasting pie to make and if you have any cooked leftover lamb
you can use it in the pie. My family love this pie with
mashed potatoes, peas, mashed pumpkin and gravy. There is
nothing better than making a big family pie and having all
the family together for a meal and listening to the
grandchildren tell you what they have been doing.
Mushroom
and Lamb Pie Ingredients
1 onion
1 lb lamb
1 oz butter
1 egg beaten
salt and pepper
4 oz mushrooms
1/2 pint beef stock
4 oz frozen puff pastry
Mushroom
and Lamb Pie Method
Preheat the oven to 400
degrees. Peel and chop the onion then wash and roughly chop
the mushrooms and then in a frying pan fry the onion and
mushrooms in butter until soft. Cut the meat into 1 inch
pieces and add to the pan and cook for 10 minutes then add
stock and seasonings then cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Place the mixture into a pie dish and cover with pastry then
trim the edges and flute. Brush with the beaten egg and bake
in the centre of oven for 15 minutes then reduce the
temperature to 350 degrees and cook the Mushroom and Lamb
Pie for a further 15 minutes or until crust is brown and
crunchy.
