ONION LOAF BREAD RECIPE
This recipe

Onion Loaf Bread is the most delicious bread. The flavours
of the cheese and onion gives this bread recipe a
sensational taste.

Loaf Bread Ingredients
2 eggs
cooking oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup warm milk
2 packages yeast
2/3 cup warm water
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup softened margarine
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
6 cups plain flour includes 1 cup wheat flour

Loaf Bread Method
Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour onto
wax paper do not sift. Sprinkle yeast into 2/3 cup warm
water in large warm bowl then stir until dissolved. Add warm
milk, sugar, salt, margarine and eggs then stir in onion and
cheese and stir in 3 cups flour. Beat vigorously with wooden
spoon until smooth. Scrape sides of bowl. Add remaining
flour gradually. Use enough flour to make a soft dough which
leaves the side of the bowl, adding more if necessary.
Turn onto a floured board and roll into a ball. Knead for 8
minutes until dough is smooth and elastic and no longer
sticky.Cover with plastic wrap and then a towel. Let rest
for 20 minutes on board then punch down. Divide into 2
loaves as desired and place in greased baking pans. Brush
surface with cooking oil. Loosely cover with plastic wrap
and let rise 2 hours in a warm place. Puncture any air
bubble with greased toothpick before baking. Bake at 375
degrees for 25 minutes or until done. Remove from pans and
cool on racks.
