PANETTONE BREAD AND BUTTER PUDDING RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Panettone Bread and Butter
Pudding. It is a quick and easy recipe to make.
Panettone is a wonderful Italian bread and when you mix it
with milk, cream, eggs, castor sugar, orange zest, cognac
and vanilla it makes this wonderful pudding that I'm sure
your whole family will really like. My whole family really
appreciate it when I make them this pudding as the taste is
really exceptional. I serve it with whipped cream.
Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding Ingredients
1 pint milk
1 vanilla pod
3 Tbs Cognac
4 medium eggs
little icing sugar
1 orange zested
6 oz castor sugar
1 pint double cream
Panettone cut into thick slices and buttered
Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding Method
Preheat the oven to 325
degrees. To start the custard base bring the milk and cream
just to a boil in a saucepan then cut the vanilla pod in
half and scrape out the seeds and add to the pan with the
zest. Whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale then add the
milk and cream and remove the vanilla. Dip each slice of
panettone into the custard and pile into a buttered baking
dish. Pour the remaining custard slowly over the bread and
place the dish in a roasting pan and fill halfway with hot
water. Sprinkle with the icing sugar and bake for about 45
minutes. When the Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding is
cooked it will have a slight crust on top but will still be
slightly wobbly inside. Serve with whipped cream.
