PARMESAN BREAD RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Parmesan Bread. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Parmesan Bread is a great tasting bread. The flavour of the parmesan going through it gives this bread recipe an absolutely fantastic taste.

Parmesan Bread Ingredients

2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp cayenne
2/3 cups dry milk
1 large egg lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups lukewarm water
3 to 4 cups all purpose flour
2 envelopes active dry yeast
1 egg white slightly beaten for glaze
1 cup plus 1 Tbs grated parmesean cheese


Parmesan Bread Method

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Stir in the dry milk and let it stand for 5 minutes then add 1 cup cheese, whole egg, oil, sugar, salt, cayenne and 3 cups flour. Beat with wooden spoon till it starts to pull away from bowl and turn on a floured board adding flour if needed to form a good dough able to knead. Knead for 5 minutes. Place in a well oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap and let rise about 11/2 hours. Punch down on floured board and divide in half then form into balls and place on oiled baking sheets. Cover and rest for 40 minutes. Brush loaves with egg white and last tablespoon cheese and bake the Parmesan Bread at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes or until it is well browned and hollow sounding when thumped. Cool on racks.
