POTATO BREAD RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Potato Bread. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
Potato Bread this is a very different bread recipe as it has
mashed potato in it. The flavour of the potato mixed with
the other ingredients gives this bread recipe an absolutely
fantastic taste.

2 tsp salt
6 Tbs sugar
6 Tbs butter
3 1/2 cups milk
2 packets dry yeast
7 to 8 cups white flour
1/2 cup water lukewarm
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup mashed potatoes

Bread Method
In a large saucepan scald milk then add sugar, butter, salt,
and mashed potatoes. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in
water then add to milk mixture. Add whole wheat flour and
one cup of white flour and beat 2 minutes with mixer. Stir
in more white flour until dough leaves sides of bowl 6 to 7
cups. Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead lightly
until dough forms a smooth ball. Place in greased bowl
turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled
1 1/2 to 2 hours. Punch down and let rise again until
doubled. Turn onto floured surface and divide into 3 equal
parts. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Form 3 loaves and
place in greased loaf pans which have been sprinkled with
cornmeal. Bake the Potato Bread at 350 degrees for 40 to 45
minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
