SATE BEEF RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Sate Beef. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Sate Beef is the most tastiest way of doing beef. The flavours of beef, soy sauce and sesame oil plus the sauce over it makes this an absolutely tasty asian style recipe.

Sate Beef Ingredients

pepper
2 Tbs oil
2 Tbs water
1 tsp cornflour
2 tsp sesame oil
1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
500g fillet steak in one piece

Sauce:
salt
1 onion
2 Tbs water
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tsp dry sherry
2 tsp soy sauce
3 tsp sate sauce
1 tsp curry powder

Sate Beef Method

Trim all sinew and fat from steak and then cut steak into 5 mm slices. Gently pound each slice to flatten slightly. Into a bowl place the steak and add soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, cornflour and water then mix well and let stand for 20 minutes. Heat oil in wok and saute steak until brown separating each piece as it goes into the wok and brown on both sides and remove it from the wok. Peel and roughly dice the onion and add to the wok with crushed garlic and saute gently until onion is transparent. Combine the sate sauce, sherry, sugar, curry powder, salt, water and soy sauce and then add it to the onions in wok. Stir until boiling. Return the beef to the wok and cook until the beef is tender, it should only need about 1 minute. Serve the Sate Beef with curried rice.
