VEGGIE BURGER WITH NUTS RECIPE
This Veggie Burger With Nuts
is a wonderful nourishing burger it is full of goodness and
your friends won't even know its not meat. It is full of
wonderful flavours like mushrooms, onion, carrot, garlic,
walnuts and chickpeas and so much more ingredients goes into
making this Veggie Burger With Nuts a fantastic tasting
burger.

Burger With Nuts Ingredients
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbs tamari
3 Tbs tahini
3/4 cup walnuts
2 oz bulgur wheat
1/4 cup canola oil
2 Tbs chopped dill
3 Tbs lemon juice
3/4 tsp ground cumin
2 Tbs minced garlic
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup chopped parsley
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/4 cups cooked chickpeas
3/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 1/2 cups finely chopped carrots
2 cups finely chopped onions
oil for rubbing burgers and grill
1 1/4 cups finely chopped mushrooms

Burger With Nuts Method
Very
first thing to do is put the bulgur in a bowl of hot water
and soak it for 10 minutes or until tender and drain well.
Heat the oil in a skillet and saute mushrooms, carrots,
onions and garlic for 15 minutes. Grind walnuts and
sunflower seeds and put into a bowl and add sesame seeds,
bulgur, and wheat germ. Then mix the sauteed vegetables with
parsley, dill, tahini, chickpeas, tamari, lemon juice,
cayenne, salt, pepper, and cumin until blended and then add
this mixture to the sesame bulgar mixture and mix it really
well using a potato masher and then chill it thoroughly in
the freezer at least 1 hour to firm the mixture. Shape into
patties and pat with oil. Cook the Veggie Burger With Nuts
for 4 minutes on each side, flip carefully with a wide
spatula to keep from falling apart. Serve the Veggie Burger
With Nuts on toasted rolls with slices of tomato, sprouts,
cucumber And yogurt. Great for a barbecue.
